Child Safety Standards
Hey Tomo is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. These standards apply to content and activity involving our website, customer engagement tools, connected channels and support communications.
1. Zero tolerance for abuse and exploitation
Hey Tomo prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). A child is anyone under 18. Prohibited content and conduct include:
- Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting or distributing sexual content involving children, including computer-generated depictions.
- Grooming, predatory behaviour or sexual solicitation involving a child.
- Sexualising or sexually objectifying children.
- Sextortion, threats or blackmail involving children.
- Trafficking or facilitating the sexual exploitation of children.
These restrictions apply to messages, conversations, uploaded files, campaigns and other uses of Hey Tomo. Connected Facebook and Instagram accounts must not be used to facilitate this conduct.
2. Report a child safety concern
Report suspected violations to [email protected] with the subject Child safety report. Include the relevant account, business or workspace name, a link or reference to the incident where available, and a brief description of the concern.
Do not download, attach, forward or redistribute suspected abuse material. Do not include passwords, access tokens or unnecessary identifying details about a child. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement.
3. Review and enforcement
We prioritise child safety reports and assess the information available. When we become aware of CSAM on our service, we act to remove access to the material and address the violation. Enforcement may include content removal, restrictions on connected channels, account suspension or permanent termination.
We preserve information where legally required, restrict access to sensitive evidence, and report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation to the appropriate authorities or reporting organisation as required by applicable law. Reporting and preservation obligations take priority over routine deletion requests.
4. Child protection responsibilities
Businesses and users must comply with applicable child protection laws and the safety rules of the channels they connect. Hey Tomo must not be used to evade those safeguards. Marketing must not be directed to people identified as under 18.
These published standards describe prohibited conduct and how to raise a concern. They do not imply that a report has already been reviewed or that a platform has certified our compliance.
5. Child safety contact
For child safety reports and enquiries from law enforcement or child protection organisations, contact Hey Tomo at [email protected] and identify the purpose of your enquiry.
